Personal profiles are an easy way to adjust all the driver’s settings at once. It saves time in the long run. Not much, admittedly, but it’s a useful and convenient feature.
This post will explain how to enable and disable personal profiles on the Mustang Mach E.

What are Mustang Mach E personal profiles?

The Mustang Mach E has customizable personal profiles. You can save one profile for each of the preset memory seat buttons. There’s also space for a guest profile. They store your settings for all of the following:
Positional settings, such as those below, are changed by holding a memory seat button:

  • Seat positions
  • Mirror positions

Non-positional settings, as here, are automatically updated if changed while a profile is enabled:

  • Driver assist settings
  • Drive modes
  • Radio
  • Cabin temperature
  • Ambient lighting
  • Navigation

How to enable or disable access to personal profiles on the Mustang Mach E

Follow the instructions below to enable or disable the Mustang Mach E’s saved personal profiles.

  1. Ensure the car is on and in Park.
  2. Open the features drawer on the central touchscreen (in the top left).
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Tap the Personal Profile button.
  5. Set Personal Profiles to on or off.

How to create a personal profile in the Ford Mustang Mach E

If you want to create a new personal profile in the Mach E Mustang, you’ll need to use the same touchscreen menu.

  1. Switch the Mach E on but leave it in Park (P).
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose the Personal Profile button.
  4. Tap Add profile.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Note: many owners report issues with profile pictures. Ford will undoubtedly come out with a patch for this with time.

Link a Mach E personal profile to a remote control

You can link up to three remote controls (keys) to different personal profiles. As such, the settings will automatically adjust when you unlock a car using a specific remote control.
Here’s how to link a Mach E personal profile to an individual key (remote control).

  1. Turn the Mustang Mach E but leave it in Park.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Personal Profile.
  4. Touch the arrow by the profile you want to connect to a remote control.
  5. Press Remote control.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Just so you know, you can’t link a remote control to a guest profile.

Link a Ford Mustang Mach E personal profile to a mobile device

As well as linking to a remote control, you could also link to a mobile device (smartphone). If you want to do this, you must have already set up your device as a remote control for the car. You do this through the FordPass App.
Your phone must also be in the vehicle.

  1. Switch the car on and leave it in Park.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Press Personal Profile.
  4. Select the arrow next to the relevant profile.
  5. Choose Mobile device.
  6. Follow the steps as shown on the display.

Intelligent Suggestions

Intelligent Suggestions analyses your personal profile’s regular patterns, distinguishing them from the others. It uses this data to suggest things like charging stations and navigation destinations.

  • Accept Intelligent Suggestions by touching them when they appear in the application drawer.

Turning Intelligent Suggestions on or off in the Mach E

A number of owners report problems with the accuracy of Intelligent Suggestions. If you’d like to turn Intelligent Suggestions off, follow these steps:

  1. Select General in the Settings menu.
  2. Next to Intelligent Suggestions, choose on or off.
